They worked great. Before I actually had a Kindle I would buy and read books on my phone. But occasionally I would remove the DRM so that I could read the books on another ebook reader.

Thanks for these tips. I have had my Kindle about a month and am still learning little tricks like this.

Also there are a whole lot o free ebooks available all over the net for your Kindle

Just read your post on kindle3 and keyboard shorcuts
I was planning to buy an ebook reader and the kindle is the most popular. The only problem is ordering books from amazon would be very expensive.
Pros (kindle)—Very popular, active forums on the net,
Cons (kindle)—epub not supported, ordering in india expensive,
I had decided to go with pre-ordering infibeam pi2 as then i can buy (if reqd) from an indian store in indian rupees)
But after reading your post again I am for the kindle
Would you suggest a kindle for a avid reader of books?
