The bird analogy is not really apt here because english bird names do not vary with context of location. Those which did have now been fixed because of the problem they cause similar to what you are trying to point out.

That said – What I had in Mumbai was a cut chai which Mumbaikars like to call cutting chai

Its fascinating how the Flamingos come *every* year back to the same crowded area without any problems because of the corresponding city.
