But lying is a *last resort* sorta thing in my books. I find it too lowly to indulge in lying without a very *strong* reason.

Well, among the two types who would go through the trouble of lying to me, those who don’t know me well enough really don’t matter much and consequently I don’t bother with explanations. My icy silence and withdrawal symptoms simply drive home the point. (Which I presume is immature since they hardly know me, and I should probably give them the benefit of doubt and have an open conversation allowing them to settle in. But no, I simply cease to exist for this person for sometime until they understand my stand. On the other hand, if I’m forced to act congenial to such a person, it usually results in a *show-down*, which again may not always be the best solution… its quite embarressing actually. But, somehow, I just cannot behave *normal* as if everything’s OK… of course, all this depending on the severity of the lie told!). Nevertheless, the silent solution seems to work for short term relationships.

Those who really know me and really matter; know well enough they wouln’t need to lie to me unless there’s a *very* strong reason. And experience has so far shown that 95 % of times they tend to simply be honest and explain the *very* strong reason rather than hide and run! Most close friends know my threshold to handle deceit and my preference for being straight-fwd in relationships. So, to avoid misunderstandings, we mutually adopt honesty as the best solution and incidentally, all my friends have more or less the same threshold. It works out.

The 5 % times when someone close has lied and not explained, have finally concluded in *learning moments*. Wherein my first reaction may be to again *keep silent* and give them space to explain. (That’s a liberty I offer very few tho’). If yes, good. If no, and a resonable time period is passed uncomfortably, I need to bring up the issue and seek an explanation. No bottled up confused feelings for me. Depending on their reactions, I brace myself to protect the best of the two: the relation or the need for transparency… Again, this may not be the most peaceful of events, but at least the clouds are cleared away because I choose to show my displeasure. I’ve often been chided as being immature and *making a mountain of a mole hill* in situations after everything’s over! 🙁

Moral of the story: I tend to keep shut. That is for all practical purposes my first reaction now! I don’t know if its good or bad.

I’m too immature when dealing with such things. So, I best shut up. Probably, just hasten the process of realization by hinting if I’m hurt! But, I make sure I express my displeasure.

Care to elaborate?

No. I select my virtual friends carefully.

Have you ever regretted telling someone they lied when they lie?

I never tell. I’m too immature when dealing with such things. So, I best shut up. Probably, just hasten the process of realization by hinting if I’m hurt! But, I make sure I express my displeasure.

Have you ever regretted dreaming and achieving?

No. I haven’t had regrettable dreams, and achieving (or about to) most of them has been a deep personal satisfaction.

Have you ever regretted regretting?

If regretting is defined as SWOT analysis post event… no, I don’t regret regretting.

Regrets?

No serious ones so far! 😀

Thanks to this quiz, I realised I actually live a very wholesome life! 🙂

Thank You very much.

Not really. I have never met my virtual buddies and I don’t think I want to meet. I had this huge crush on a cute guy living next door and when we moved, I lost touch with him…I got to meet him after like 5-6 years and it was a big let down. He was nothing close to what he was 6 years back. :S

Have you ever regretted telling someone they lied when they lie?
That’s the only thing I don’t regret telling. I regret it if I don’t tell them that.

Have you ever regretted dreaming and achieving?
ALL THE TIME.

Have you ever regretted regretting?
yes, sometimes.

Regrets?
Yes, many.

If I did start thinking all these things I would have wasted too much time.
I just did(waste too much time.)!! 🙁
