I am not saying that women tend to take all men alike .

But they are aware of common set of qualities of the male kingdom .And it does differ on individual experiences.they wish to stick to those qualities until they find that *someone* to defy. And probably this is true for men too.

even if you *right now* feel she was *the* one

Yes! clarifications are indeed need for this sentence – you will be doing
gross injustice to the entire female fraternity if you say that women (girls?)
tend to think all men are alike. Please prove me wrong and explain “they
diminish the chances of others too…“

I tend to disagree with you on the ASKing “only if they expect a positive
response” this just throws them back into the vicious cycle not asking
for the fear of rejection.

Heck – it is just a date we are talking about here Right?  Not about
spending rest of the life… … There are still times when I am not 100%
sure about this one,  But again even here asking gives me a headstart
– so what if I have to at times do it over IM and LJ 😉

So if you will indulge us – Are you complaining that boys dont do anything BUT “ASK”? and stating that only *may be* it will help them in certain situations?

They shud *ASK* only after some thinking and only if they expect a positive response .

Lastly the emphasis is *ASK* don’t try to *PROBE* because there is no ambiguity in ASKing and it cannot be misconstrued “Hey you know what! he tried to rape me !!” cannot happen when you ASK
