I had posed this question over at Flickr and Shiv Prakash Got it right. There were two LCD projectors one projecting the yellow dots and the other projecting red crosses with over lapping projection area. The arms seen are the left and right arms of the model respectively and are not mirror images. The setup gives some very cool effects by changing the angle of projection and the distance of the model from the screen. See the set up below!

    two ppl standing at a distance holding out their hands symmetrically with a glass in the middle. yellow light projected from the front and red from behind.
    (red left-hand-up-man glass right-hand-up-man yellow)
    the light ends on the ppl and the camera b/w glass and right-hand-man

  23. I guess you used two projectors . First projected red cross and then dots and did the hand action with a person in midway … [just an amateur comment :D !!]
