Cats, dogs and no rains

It has been cloudy everyday over the past week but has not rained… it is threatening to get hot and humid again.

Again the feeling of restlessness is growing, that gnawing to do something new! As you grow older why is it that finding new dreams becomes so difficult? Everything is filtered thru “rational thinking”…

In the very least I want to start writing again, technical as well as non technical stuff but my grammar has gone to dogs and the cat has got my tongue πŸ™

  • I disagree with several statements. You WILL keep finding new things, or variations of old things, that will excite you. The very fact of your restlessness is a sign! I suddenly developed the wish to be closer to wildlife which is NOT rational thinking for a housewife whose ties to home and household are very strong…a love of theatre that has been fuelled by the proximity of Ranga Shankara…a resuscitated love of singing as I found youngsters on LJ who share this interest…

And regarding raining, cats, and dogs….*I* think your grammar is pretty good (though if you are a friend of Kalyan preti sune yur spelin will be horibul) except that you should include a “the” between “gone to” and “dogs”….. and *I* think you write very well.

What sort of technical writing are you thinking of? To do with computers?

How is Shiku doing? Two red-vented bulbuls are trying to build a nest in the small trees that fringe the lawn in our building. I have interested some the children in their endeavour; let’s see how it goes!

So…keep us posted as new interests arise, and don’t worry about “rational thinking”..it doesn’t intrude too much! You are already doing a lot of things that are not common!

    • Thanks for all the encouragement and I take all that you write above as gospel truth as you have been there done that more often than I have πŸ™‚

I used to be a poet once upon a time now all that I write is daily reports to the clients. In the in-between time I have written a lot of technical stuff even co-authored a book but all that seems to have happened in a dream in some flashback.

Best of luck with your singing – having enthusiastic company helps a lot.
