Not a baby!

“I am NOT a baby – I am 7 which is closer to 8 9 and 10”

Aasim – when Swati denied him a Wrist-watch

  • Aah. How smart. I got my first wrist watch in class 3, when I was eight-year old kid.

Me supports Aasim. He deserves a watch, provided he knows how to read time from the clock. Digital displays are a no-no. 🙂

    • Me supports Teemus in his support.

      • I sometimes wonder if all the *big boys* are playing a hand in influencing my little baby…. and no, he still can not read time well enough -mostly reads only hours correctly. He runs to the digital display for the correct time.

        • The question is not whether he reads time, but whether he reads lj. only then can we influence him 🙂

          • He is not allowed to read LJ but he meets most of the big boys IRL sooner or later like he will next week in bangalore

            • Ah, well, you cant blame THIS bad boy for giving him ideas then

        • he still can not read time well enough -mostly reads only hours correctly.
Then it’s alright. 🙂 Aasim dear, you got to wait till you can read _both_ of ’em needles correctly!

Our family business is watches, so maybe I started reading time real early due to that? :p

        • One learns most by doing

    • I agree!!!

  • Wait till he becomes a teenager 🙂

  • I won my first wrist watch in 5th class after winning the Maggie Quiz contest. It was a Titan Kids which used to be Rs 129 back then. That was huge amount. Unfortunately, my school used to have a no_wrist_watch policy till 7th class policy,:\ Sadly, I couldn’t flaunt it till 7th, and by then I realised others had better watches than me.

I think kids treasure something more when they earn/win/deserve it. I still have that watch it my picker rat box. 🙂

    • Aiee! I never learn to proof read before hitting the post button. *sigh*

    • Yumm, maggi! 2 minute noodles …

      • do you get that in Canada?

        • Yes, at Indian stores. Indians truly are all over the planet — never fear.

  • I got my first watch in 10th standard after getting good percentage in 9th ! 🙂
