Aasim lost his lower two incisors. Had to be extracted as the permanent ones were already peeking from behind, to his credit he did not cry at all, and though he does not believe in tooth fairy stuff he gets to buy a lego for himself…

No, instant gratification -no fixed answer. I would like to measure my success on how happy/satified my child grows up to be.

The answer to “how” is concrete but too long for what I am willing to write at the fag end of my day….
More simply put, in any relationship, if you can’t gauge (read measure in defineable terms) how happy / satisfied each of you are then you have failed anyways.
Think about that
Lego! My theory is that every child needs food, clothes, education, and a set of lego blocks. I was one of the deprived ones coz these blocks were not easily available in India when I was a little kid. Hope Aasim has a great time building dream-stuff.
