Ghar ki murgi

While the desi IT press chooses to pointedly ignore and scorn the Coppermine Picture Gallery I was interviewed today about the same by Internet Magazine, UK. It is a print magazine, beyond that I don’t know anything about it – does anyone know?

I have also been pondering about an elitist Open Source event scheduled to happen in Delhi in Feb… more on that soon

  • this delhi event, is it the one by LFY?

  • Which arm of the desi IT press? They’re all the same species but each arm is a slightly different race.

    • They’re all the same species
      Perhaps true πŸ™‚

  • laziness

Doc i know i am being lazy and not going through the docs :), but a quick question…. Is it the same as gallery. I just have to copy some files to my html dir. No root access required, just ability to run some shell commands?

    • Not Lazy anymore

πŸ™‚ I got over my laziness
Great and real neat stuff. I never knew this existed!!
Its WOW! I wonder which idiot scorned over it..

      • Re: Not Lazy anymore

Thank you – we are averaging more than 1000 downloads a day from Sourceforge and several ISPs are giving it as a standard install.

    >pointedly ignore and scorn

I’d be interested in the scorn comment – who scorned and where/when?

Also, has the desi IT press been given a heads-up about this project at all? They are not known for actively going out and *hunting* for stuff, you know.

    • Re: totally !

An almost verbatim quote “Doing grassroot awareness work is better than developing…” Have lately noticed how the colour of his writings these days is yellow tinged…

      Need I say more πŸ˜€

      • Re: totally !

Hmmm, how the once mighty and respected have fallen.

That must the single most stupid remark I have heard in years – it effectively says “talking about it is more useful than doing something about it”!
