Happy Diwali to everyone

Here one person who is enjoying Diwali most is Aasim – well he is supposed to BUT this time he is much more involved. He went out (with his mom) and got lots of electric string lights and has put it all over the windows of his room, His mother is supposed to draw rangoli every morning in the courtyard and gifts are to be sent to his friends…

Speaking of gifts looking at the amount of sweets sent over from US of A to people in Nagpur it looks like the IT industry and Indian IT pro are doing much better this year…

Wishing every one a very happy Diwali!!!

BTW – Aasim has learn’t his first swear word – “Damn” 😉

  • Ah! “Diwali in nagpur”, brings back a lot of memories. Dad used to plan ahead, save money and we travelled from indore to nagpur every year to spend time with my grandparents and uncles in nagpur. More than anything else, I miss my cousins (whome I have not seen in 4 years now) and the old house that we still have on amravati road. The loads of firecrackers, Haldiram’s chum-chum, masala dosa and idli’s from the coffee house at burdi square. Ah! Bliss. 🙂

    Happy Diwali to you too.

    • Thanks – If you have not seen Nagpur in 4 years then you will not recognise the place at all – Massive transformation all around… Flyovers, wider wel kept roads, several multistoried shopping complexes.

All it lacks is Dominos – but the rumour is that it will be here in Jan

  • Happy Diwali!

Have fun :). Happy diwali to you too 🙂

    • Re: Happy Diwali!

    • Thank you very much – I gather you enjoyed as well 🙂

      • Yeah, the effects still ‘haunt’ me 😉
