Yipee!!! We finally have Cable Internet, connects are not great BUT its there.
Thanks to sidcarter, zoneee and shankarbalan for helping sort out the netmask issue on Linux, In the process we once again discovered that things on Linux work as they are expected to work and Winduhs setup are misleading

What kind of D/L speeds are you getting? My cable connection gives me a max of 6 KB/sec at nights, and around 4 KB/sec. It’s not that good, but 24×7 + no phone bills…
There are ISPs in Hyderabad who give 30 KB/sec d’loads too!

Atleast initially I dont expect anything better than this BUT yes it greatly cuts down on our month Rs10k phone bill
