“It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.” – Julie Cameron

Today finally after 6 years of faithful service the hard disk on *the computer* with which we started SANIsoft, displayed first symptoms of failure – LILO refused to boot further.

Booting from CDROM of another machine and overwriting did fix the problem but I guess it is time to retire that old friend… … Though it is still a good test bed for Win95 and IE

The complete exercise took almost half the day because we had the time πŸ˜‰ We opened several other machines as well to tweak them into an optimum collection of hardware on each machine so that we can have a LAN party!!!

  • fond memories of my 386 and shell accounts come flooding back…

  • that subject line is a good one….A lot of times, there is a lot of truth in it

    • πŸ™‚ Last year the only thing I was qualified and confident of opening and putting back togather again was a human being. But depending on my hardware guy for things like what happened meant whole lot of time lost and thus money lost – so one fine day out of sheer frustration I just got down to doing it myself… …

      • from opening a human being to opening a computer ! now, thats something
